By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — your name, phone number, email address, and profile photo.
• Content you upload — photos, event details, captions, and messages.
• Facial feature data — mathematical representations (embeddings) derived from photos to group images by the people who appear in them.
• Usage and device data — app interactions, device type, operating system, and approximate location where you enable it.
• Log data — IP address, browser type, and access times, collected automatically when you use the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• to provide, operate, and improve the Service;
• to generate thumbnails and group photos by face so guests can find their pictures;
• to authenticate you and secure your account;
• to send notifications, including event updates and photo matches;
• to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
• to comply with legal obligations.

3. Face Recognition Data

To help guests discover photos they appear in, we process facial features to create embeddings that are compared against photos within an event. We do not sell this data. You may request deletion of your facial data at any time by contacting us, and it is deleted when you delete your account.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:

• with other users as part of the event-sharing features you choose to use;
• with service providers who process data on our behalf (cloud hosting, storage, content delivery, payment processing, messaging, and AI processing) under appropriate safeguards;
• when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights through the app settings or by contacting us at care@momentomemories.com.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to operate, including cloud storage and content delivery, Firebase for authentication and messaging, and AI services for face grouping and content moderation. These providers process data on our behalf and are governed by their own privacy policies.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from such children.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
